GREETINGS

We would like to thank to you for your active and valuable participation, furthermore enormous contributions that you have made towards the success of events that held by The Association for the Development of Mongolian Women in Europe (ADMWE).

To sum up this month, March 2012, we are proud to inform you that it has been very productive and well received introductory month for our Association. We have started the month organising the One world – The Role of Womenseminar on the 8th March for International Women’s Day. The seminar was a great success and your contribution was very significant in achieving  our goal. You have helped us to raise money towards our project to vaccinate girls in Mongolia between 10 – 14 years against cervical cancer. Without your kindness and support it would be impossible to make our dream of helping each other reality.

The second event was organised in the House of Lords on the 12th March joined with The Universal Peace Federation. The UN International Women’s Day event was hosted by Baroness Sandip Verma, Governments Spokesperson for Women and Equalities. This event covered the issue of empowering women in the politics and business. The panel discussed the fact that gender equality and empowerment of women is still at the lowest levels in some countries. At the discussion our participants had asked the panel who should be a role model and how would you define them? which inspired interesting closing speeches both from the participants and the panel.

The third event was organised by Peace One Day and their partnership organisations on the 21st March. Our Association was one of the honourable guests at the event. The event was hosted by Rt. Hon. Baroness Scotland QC who is also Founder and Patron of the EDV (Eliminate Domestic Violence) Foundation. The Global Truce 2012 “Reducing Domestic Violenceevent was focused on violence against each other at home, in schools, in the workplace, in cyberspace and in war zones. The panel consisted of influential leaders from around the world, all focused on reducing domestic violence in the all continents of Africa, Asia, Europe, America and Australia.

The month has been a great success and we are thankful to our 8th March speakers, to you and to our sponsors and partners: Embassy of Mongolia, Universal Peace Federations, Mongolian Cultural Centre, Arter Giles International, Mongolian British Chamber of Commerce, Burte Beaty Salon, Madi Group, West Minster Business Council, Tonbridge Wells Philharmonic, Empiral Grill Restaurant  and  many more.

The Association for the Development of Mongolian Women in Europe presents to you the 2nd International Women’s Day 2013 event. We would like to invite you to suggest any speakers who you think you would like to hear at the event and also any keynote speakers you would like to hear from at our second event. Also please let us know which country, city or town you wish to hold the event.

Any suggestions please submit them to [email protected].
