Gratitude

On May 18, 2025, in Rome, Italy, in honor of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Italy, the Association for the Development of Mongolian Women in Europe, in cooperation with the “Global Mongolian Women Together” NGO, successfully organized an international business forum under the theme “Women in Cultural and Creative Industries – White Gold.” This event also included the "Woman of the Year - 2025" awards ceremony, a gala reception, and a humanitarian fundraising campaign.

This event was of historical importance, showcasing the unity, collaboration, and voice of Mongolian women on the global stage. It was a large-scale initiative encompassing culture, arts, and business partnerships.

Delegates and guests from 23 countries attended, representing the fields of politics, culture and arts, science, education, business, and social development. This demonstrated the truly international scope and deep cooperation of this year’s event.

We extend our deepest gratitude to:

President of Mongolia H.E. Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, the initiator of the “White Gold” program;

B. Davaadalai, Economic Policy Advisor to the President;

B. Battsetseg, Minister of Foreign Affairs, who all expressed their support and participated virtually.

Special thanks to Ambassador Ts. Narantungalag and her team at the Embassy of Mongolia in Italy for their support in promoting Mongolia abroad.

We are grateful to all organizations that have supported and collaborated with us in various ways. Without your participation, cooperation, and backing, this event would not have been such a great success.

Special Mentions:

Member of Parliament and Chair of the Standing Committee on Education, Culture, Science, and Sports Ch. Undram, along with Member of Parliament and Director General of the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM), Aruna Francesca Maria Gujral, delivered keynote speeches. They emphasized the contribution of the cultural sector to economic development, the importance of preserving cultural values, and the role of women in this effort. They also stated that the implementation of the "White Gold" program is inseparably linked with traditional culture, and expressed willingness to cooperate with Mongolia in disseminating knowledge about culture and heritage, and supporting women working in these sectors. This was a significant contribution that reflected international and governmental-level attention.

This business forum was also attended by notable panelists including MP A. Undraa, Chair of the Mongolia-Italy Parliamentary Group; Paola Ligabue and Antonio Franceschini, representatives from CNA – the Italian Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises; and Maria Rosaria D’Antonio, Administrative Director of the International Astronomical Union. They presented interesting facts about the organization's activities in Mongolia and the participation of Mongolian women in astronomy, which drew attention to the role and achievements of Mongolian women in science.  In addition, prominent participants such as senior scientist Fiona Flintan from the International Livestock Research Institute, Professor Elisabetta Ragagnin, an expert on Asia and North Africa studies, Mongolian history and culture researcher and former Honorary Consul in the Flemish region of Belgium Paul Van Wuijve, and former Honorary Consul in Milan Ts. Gantuya also took part as panelists. Their participation emphasized long-term strategic policy relevance.

The “Global Mongolian Women Together” NGO provided essential technical support and helped facilitate participation from Mongolia, including the delivery of donated products from prominent companies such as Evseg JSC, Anna Cashmere, Monos Foods JSC, and Khan Bank — a true example of leadership and joint effort.

The Social Democratic Women’s Association of Mongolia actively supported the event for the third year, with more than 10 delegates from Darkhan and Khovd provinces contributing donations through VIP tickets, highlighting the engagement and leadership of rural women. Local products created by these women were also featured in the fundraising raffle.

The success of this event was founded on our unity, trust, and mutual support. We sincerely thank the following contributors:

Sponsoring and Supporting Organizations:

Evseg JSC – Evseg Cashmere: Donated 17 unique cashmere products, including vests, skirts, sweaters, scarves, and cardigans. The rare scarf from their “Khubilai Khan’s Edict Collection” became a symbol of our program.

ANNA Cashmere: Donated five elegant, minimalist 100% cashmere pieces, enhancing the significance of the charity effort.

Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA): Una Jones supported the international promotion of Mongolia's wool and cashmere industry.

APU JSC: Donated premium Chinggis Khan and Soyombo brand spirits, contributing to the fundraising campaign.

OYUNA Cashmere: Their donation of the “Esra Throw” symbolized unity and gentle strength, embodying the values of the ADMWE initiative.

Monos Foods: Participated as a new partner representing healthy living and nutrition.

Mongol Post: Joined for the first time, supporting logistics and outreach.

Khan Bank: A long-time financial supporter of our activities.

Artist Tsegmed Tserennadmid: His artwork “Color of Happiness” deeply resonated with our event’s themes.

Ayurzana’s Gegee: The young artist’s piece “Light Amulet” added artistic depth.

Tsagaan Asgat LLC: Donated their traditional dairy-based liqueur "Shimiin Okh" in artistic packaging, honoring cultural heritage.

Conte Guicciardini: Donated La Historia di Italia wine, perfectly matching the historic and cultural atmosphere of our Rome event.

Special Acknowledgements:

Minjinsor MJ (pop singer): Her unique performance during the classical music concert energized the audience.

Ayana Sambuu Zandraa, Miska Miska, Mendmaa Dorzhin: Their powerful rendition of Mongolia’s national anthem added a patriotic tone to the opening ceremony.

Maestro Marcella Crudeli: A living legend of Italy’s golden era of piano music, we thank you deeply.

Giulio Ginobi: Became the first Italian pianist to bring Mongolian composer B. Sharav’s “May I Journey to the Sacred Far Away” to life on stage—a moment that will forever be part of Italian-Mongolian musical history.

Giulio Ginobi, Victoria Khalilova, and the New Opera Dimensions team: Your incredible classical performances left a lasting impression.

The peak of the cultural program was a classical concert curated by Ayana Sambuu, a 2023 “Woman of the Year” awardee, Cultural Merit Worker of Mongolia, and founding member of New Opera Dimensions. It featured a dramatic sunset performance on Rome’s Capitoline Hill, blending works by Verdi, Puccini, Mozart, Lloyd Webber, and a Mongolian piece inspired by Princess Khotolun, integrating traditional throat singing and the morin khuur.

Accompanying her were:

Raffaele Tassone, renowned Italian tenor;

Sopranos Maria Smirnova and Ida Notarnicola;

Dmitry Tagan, musical director;

Students, teachers, and models from Pablo Picasso Art College and the New Opera Dimensions community.

We wish you all continued success in your artistic endeavors.

Thanks also to FIRST Model & Actor agency and Italian photographer Simone Biagi, whose professional coverage will remain as cherished memories.

We deeply appreciate all guests and organizations who participated in the charity auction. Every donation will go directly to support women and children in Mongolia affected by violence.

Finally, heartfelt thanks to the student volunteers from across Europe who contributed passionately to every stage of this event. We wish you great success in your studies and future careers.

The moment the sun set over the historic Capitoline Hill was not merely one of scenic beauty — it was a powerful symbol of the inner strength, unity, intellect, and leadership of Mongolian women.

You proudly represented the dignity and talent of Mongolian women on the global stage, becoming a cultural bridge.

This event proved that the power, beauty, education, and values of Mongolian women can reach any pinnacle in the world.

The footsteps of Mongolian women have now joined those of Seneca, Caesar, Cleopatra, Augustus, and Nero on this historic Roman hill.

We sincerely thank President Ch. Namuun and all board members of the “Association for the Development of Mongolian Women in Europe” for successfully organizing this remarkable event.

With respect,
 Association for the Development of Mongolian Women in Europe
