Our 2024 project aimed to support herder households severely impacted by the 2024 dzud—a natural disaster characterized by extreme winter conditions leading to significant livestock loss. The initiative will provide on-site psychological counseling to address trauma, stress, and emotional well-being, as well as essential health services to ensure physical health and resilience among affected families. Implemented in collaboration with local health and social service providers, the project focuses on building mental health awareness, offering targeted medical care, and strengthening community coping mechanisms in disaster-prone rural areas.
At ADMWE, we believe in the power of collaboration to create meaningful change. Our partnerships with professionals were central to our mission of delivering essential services and tailored support to the communities we chose this year.
Each community faces unique challenges, and at ADMWE, we recognised the importance of addressing these specific needs. Our mental and general health partners played a critical role in identifying and responding to the distinct health issues faced by rural women in different demographics.
Together, we continue to strive to address the unique challenges faced by women and their families, ensuring access to critical mental health resources that empower them to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
