International Business Forum “Women in Culture and Creative Industries” and the “Woman of the Year – 2025” Awards Ceremony Successfully Held
Rome, Italy – May 18, 2025
In celebration of the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Italy, the “Association for the Development of Mongolian Women in Europe” (ADMWE) and the Global Mongolian Women’s Together (GMWT) successfully organized the international business forum titled “Women in Culture and Creative Industries” on May 18, 2025, in Rome, the capital of Italy.
The event, now in its 13th year, is organized by ADMWE to support the business and professional collaboration of Mongolian women living and working in Europe and around the world. It also aims to empower women, promote leadership, and raise financial support for social programs targeted at women and girls. A key highlight of this year’s forum was its alignment with the “White Gold” initiative, launched by the President of Mongolia, Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, which focused on discussions around the cashmere and wool product market, fashion trends, and the establishment of new business bridges between Mongolian producers and European partners.
The forum opened with virtual greetings from Mongolia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs B. Battsetseg and the President’s Economic Policy Advisor B. Davaadalai. Opening remarks were delivered by D. Enkhjargal, Honorary President of ADMWE, H.E. Ts. Narantungalag, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Italy, and Aruna Francesca Marie Gujral, Director General of the International Research Centre for the Protection of Cultural Heritage.
Participants included Member of the Mongolian Parliament and Chair of the Standing Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Ch. Undram; MP and Chair of the Mongolia–Italy Parliamentary Group, A. Undraa; and Secretary General of the Mongolian Red Cross Society, N. Bolormaa, among over 120 delegates from 23 countries representing banking, finance, business, education, arts, and humanitarian sectors—underscoring the international scale of the event.
A fashion show highlighting Mongolian cashmere and wool products was held under the “White Gold” program, showcasing the global appeal and sustainable value of Mongolian cashmere.
Key Highlights of the Event:
The forum opened up new international opportunities to promote Mongolia’s cashmere industry, women’s leadership, and cultural heritage.
This event significantly deepened the cultural cooperation and friendship between Mongolia and Italy, and it served as a major platform to highlight the leadership, creativity, and social engagement of Mongolian women on the global stage.
The annual influx of over 100 participants from 15+ countries creates a vibrant and international atmosphere at our seminars.
