In line with one of the missions to empower women and promote business networking, Ms Enkhjargal Danzanbaljir , the president of  the Association for the Development of Mongolian Women in Europe (ADMWE) and Director of the London Representative Office of the Bank of Mongolia  has initiated  a project to train female accountants , who make up the majority in the field of accountancy in Mongolia.

The purpose of the project is to provide the accountants  with knowledge of accounting in the mining sector and increase responsibility within the stock market via IPO in depth. By doing so it will help to improve transparency and accountability in the extractives sector.

In the project, the Mongolian Accounting Institute and London Representative Office of the Bank of Mongolia are participating as main organisers with the support of The Association for the Development of Mongolian Women in Europe /ADMWE/ and The Association of Mongolian ACCA Students and Affiliates /AMASA/.

The project will be implemented in two phases, the first phase of the training will be held on 21 – 22nd of January 2013 in the training centre of the Mongolian Accounting Institute, Ulaanbaatar, with the support of Mrs Carolyn Clarke, the director of PwC, Mongolia.

The second phase of this training project is a study tour, which will be organised in Spring 2013 in London. Those who attended the first phase of training will visit PWC, London Metal Exchange, London Stock Exchange, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development and Rio Tinto.
